Which James Bond actor should be plucked from retirement for a remake of 'Never Say Never Again' – and how would you approach the new version?

Never Say Never Again was an "unofficial" re-make of Thunderball. It was unofficial, in that it remains the only Bond movie not made by EON Productions (AFAIK).

Thunderball is still my favourite Bond movie – please don't re-make it!

  1. I would probably cast Pierce Brosnan in the role because in my eyes he is my favorite Bond. I would cast Sean Connery opposite him as the villain, Emilio Largo. I’d cast Emily Blunt as Domino because I think she would have great chemistry with Brosnan.

I would preserve the same basic plot, but set it in the present day. Domino’s role will be larger. I would have Connery play the role of Largo straight. No winks to the audience regarding his former role.

  2. Can someone actually answer the question. We all know the story but the question was which bond actor should be used to do it, not who owns it or whether it should be done or not. There is only one answer and one james bond. Sir Shaun Connery. Or are you going to argue that he shouldn't be knighted as he is Scottish. Clear that up now. He was refused a knighthood but two years or so later was knighted by Queen Elizabeth ll.
