  1. I find Bangkok Cuisine's food to be closest to the Thai food I grew up on, so it's easily my favorite, even though Thaiphoon usually has more exciting dishes. Both in food and decor, it ends up being like the difference between cozy prepared-by-mom dining and restaurant dining.

    If you ask, Siam Orchid will make you hoy-tod (mussel omelette). Their version (along with the rest of their food) is so-so, but hoy-tod is one of those dishes so rarely found and so delicious, that just serving it gives them instant authenticity points.
